Super Bowl XLIV
So what do you think, ladies?
Stayed up all night to watch the Super Bowl (heck, it's 4am!) and I think it was awesome!
At first I was afraid that the Saints couldn't turn it, since our commentator said that only one team ever did change a 10-0 from the first quarter into winning the Bowl.
I loved Porter's interception and the touchdown resulting from it. :D
And I do think that they deserved it, since they played really good tonight ... or today...
Hope, you had as much fun as I had watching. :)

hey there everyone! i had a question for you :) my best friend is expecting her first child and is looking for a "future new orleans saints fan" shirt. you know, the ones with the arrows that point toward the tummy. i'm having one hell of a time trying to find one and aside from some knock-off new orleans shirts on e-bay i'm coming up empty. her birthday is on the 12th of october and i would love to surprise her with a shirt. :)
any idea where i might look? i just got my packer pro shop book in the mail and didn't see anything for my team in there...so i'm a little worried that there isn't an official maternity shirt out there for any of the teams.
thanks very much!!! :D Current Mood: determined

I imagine this might be old news to a lot of you, but Alyssa Milano has a line of football wear designed for women, and I think it's pretty cool. From what I've seen, there's not a drop of pink in it!
It can be found on HSN, here

I'm doing fantasy football for the first time this year in a league my husband is running. But I thought it would be fun to set up a league for female football fans. Anyone interested? It's free and we still need at least 4 more and if there's enough interest there would be spots for 6. If you're interested email me - tvaddictgurl @ livejournal.com (no spaces).

ugh! the latest on the favre drama
hey there ladies! i was checking out fannation off si.com and came across this quote:
"Latest word is that 40 percent of the Vikings' playbook is being customized for the pending signing of quarterback Brett Favre."
i know everyone is probably tired of hearing about favre but i thought i would ask this question to my fellow packer fans out there. how are you going to feel about the whole situation if favre joins the vikings? are you still going to proudly display your #4
green and gold while watching the games? and are you planning on following the vikings if they acquire him?
also how many seasons do you think he honestly has left in him? thanks and happy end of the work week!!! :D Current Mood: curious

Along with him was found a female victime.

hey ladies! i know the community has been a bit on the slow side but i was wondering if anyone out there might have some team tattoos they might be interested in showing off. i am contemplating a team tattoo but need some advice on placement and i've had a terrible time trying to find sport team tattoos on women.
thanks so much! and if your team is still in the super bowl running good luck! my packers have fallen short this year :( but there's always next year!
have a good new year and thanks a million times over if you have a tattoo you wouldn't mind showing!! Current Mood: curious

I want to give my husband an amazing anniversay and Christmas this year! (Our anniversay is in mid December.)
Anyone know where I can get some tickets for the Packers/Lions game at Lambeu in December? We have a tradtion of going to one Pack game a year, and this we really want to go to Lambeu!
Any help you could give would be great! We live in Michigan, and are eagerly looking forward to getting into Green Bay! We went to the Lions/Pack game at Ford last year, and it just wasn't the same. (Although by the end of the game, the stands were made up of mostly green, and a clear, "Go Pack Go" was heard.) My husband is originally from Wisconsin (Milwaukee area), and hasn't lost his roots. Thank God for NFL Sunday Ticket!
I can be reached at email@example.com
with any ticket information.
Go Packers! Go Rodgers!
(I think my favorite sign from Monday: Welcome to Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood!) Current Mood: cheerful

AFL teams in Germany
Well, not so much news for you, but kinda interesting for me.
2Plus (a German company) made an exclusive contract with the AFL and together they're planning on expanding to Germany. These teams are to be integrated into the AFL.
Personally I don't know what to think of it because after the NFL took the NFLE from us I'm afraid that will happen again only with the AFL. Once bitten, twice shy - I think.

Should I Stay or Should I Go?
Whether or not I agree with Brett Favre's decision to come back and play after retiring ( I don't) , I am still angry and disappointed in Ted Thompson's decision to treat Brett like an ex-spouse, who's face and family are no longer welcome around here. Brett was one of us- by proxy. He may have been born and raised in the south, but he was a Wisconsinite and beloved Packer for 14 years. I had accepted our fate and planned to move on with A-Rod, but when I heard HE was coming out of retirement, I admit, I became giddy with hopes of another Super Bowl run. Watching and following Brett with the Packers, has always been a great source of joy and pride for not only me, but every Packer fan. Now the bubble has been burst- exploded really. And Ted Thompson has left us all with gum all over our faces. Ted Thompson SUCKS!.

hey there everyone! so we have all heard the drama...and that makes me wonder. what do you ladies think of the brett favre mess? especially the quarterback competition. Current Mood: curious
New rules for the season -
Not sure if you gals have seen these yet:
- The force-out rule on catches will no longer be enforced. It's an incomplete pass unless the receiver gets both feet inbounds first or is ruled to be carried out after making the catch clearly inbounds.
-No more 5-yard facemask penalties. All are 15 yards.
-The defense can now have a player wear a speaker in his helmet, just like a quarterback, to hear signals. One starter and one backup can do so but cannot be on the field at the same time and must report themselves to the referee.
-A snap untouched is ruled as a backward pass and can be advanced as a fumble. All muffed handoffs and forward handoffs that are fumbled can be advanced by the defense if it recovers.
-Teams who win the opening coin toss can now choose to defer their option to kick or receive to the start of the second half, just like in college.
-An offensive player who sticks his arm out can make contact with a defender's facemask, but if he grabs it it is a 15-yard penalty.
Hawks vs Vikings on Friday! Can't wait :) Happy Monday all

Favre -Has He Lost His Mind?
I am shocked and disappointed in his announcement that he wants to come back. My respect for him as certainly dropped. he has taken a perfect career and a moving good bye and turned them into a circus. I can't believe how needy he is. Sure we all loved to watch him plat- but he said he was moving on, and so have the Packers, and Aaron Rogers and most of the Packer fans I have spoken to personally. This is Genereral Hospital and As The World Turns rolled into a really bad reality TV show. Stay home Brett- you've done enough good and bad top last a lifetime.

Just because I'm curious
Is anyone of you playing football in a team?
I attended a training-session of our local women's team (Düsseldorf Pantherladies) last Wednesday and it was really, really fun. Although I had sore muscles until Sunday. (Who would've thought that being a CB is THAT exhausting and THAT much work?)
So, tell me about it. Whether you play occasionally or regularly or just if you want to, but haven't had the heart to do it yet. :)

NFL draft and first post!
I just found this community, and I'm so happy!
Anyone watch the draft tonight? I can't believe it ended 2 hours early....though the commentators trying to find something to talk about and sportscenter having to come on 1.5 hours early was pretty freaking funny.
Anyway, any draft thoughts? The colts were pretty hum-hum, a backup to Saturday? And the Browns not even having a pick...
